Captain S. C. JudsonTaken prisoner at the Battle of the Wilderness, in May 1864, Capt.Judson was then taken to Macon, thence to Charleston, and thence to Columbia, South Carolina where he was at last paroled in December. The picture tells the story of his haphazard journey back to Northern lines. His pair of pants came from a meal bag, stolen from the rebels, while his coat was donated by a friendly Negro.
